Laurie Wallce was born in Baltimore, Maryland but grew up in Europe because of her father's job. When she was seven her family moved to a farm in Scotland. Laurie enjoyed being surrounded by nature and spent much time playing with the animals ... cows, sheep, pigs, chickens and rabbits. As an only child the animals became her best friends. Laurie enjoyed everything about Scotland (except the weather and the food) and hopes to go back sometime. Her last name is Scottish so her family got very involved in the local culture. In fact, Laurie took up Scottish highland dancing and used to compete all over the country. She still has her kilt to this day. When Laurie was thirteen she moved to Augsburg, Germany for four years. There she attended an American high school (where she was a cheerleader) but also learned to speak German. Her family traveled all over Europe. Laurie and her family moved back to Maryland at the end of her senior year of high school. She went on to Loyola College where she majored in German and Political Science. She graduated summa cum laude and even joined Phi Beta Kappa (who says pretty girls aren't smart?). Laurie then went on to law school at George Washington University. Modeling and acting were what she always wanted to do, but her family felt that education was the most important. Laurie was modeling on the side during school but soon found out that modeling, acting and attending law school at the same time was impossible. So, Laurie left school and moved to Miami to persue her dream. Laure quickly began landing roles in movies, TV commercials and infomercials. At the same time, she began modeling for fitness, swimwear and lingerie magazines and catalogs, including the covers of Fitness Plus Magazine and Boating. After a year in South Beach, Laurie made the move up to New York City. She continued acting with roles on television and in film. In 1999 Laurie appeared in her first Playboy Special Editions Book, "Real Sex 2." Since then, she has had layouts in fifteen Playboy Special Editions and has been featured on the cover twice. Her modeling work with Playboy led to other opportunities. She traveled with Playboy to Mardi Gras in 1999 and 2000 for their live Webcast. Then she was chosen as the "Playboy.com Party Girl," hosting Hef's parties at the Mansion with half hour broadcasts for Playboy.com. Laurie has recently relocated to Los Angeles. Her ultimate goal
is to host her own television show. Keep your eyes on this multi-talented
woman. Visit Laurie's website at www.lauriewallace.com. |
